Our story

We exist to solve industry problems. We know training and credentialing.

We did not set out to build credentialing infrastructure. We set out to run regulated training programs, and after twenty years of doing it we kept seeing the same problem. So we built the infrastructure to solve it.

The vantage point

This is how we know.

Not research, not a market we moved into. These are our own programs, run for our own customers, in industries where a credential has to hold up.

  • 20+Years in regulated training
  • 4M+Credentials issued
  • 3M+Learners supported
  • 4,000+Training programs delivered

Across twenty regulated industries, since 2002.

Industry problems

At that volume, you see where the proof can go missing.

  1. 01IdentityA learner verified at sign-up and never againNo proof
  2. 02AttendanceAttendance in a spreadsheetNo proof
  3. 03AssessmentAn exam result in an emailNo proof
  4. 04IssuanceA certificate as a PDF that anyone can editNo proof

Four steps, four potential points of failure. The weakness is in the handoffs between them.

What we built

Credential fraud gets in at the seams, so we closed them.

One chain instead of seven handoffs. Identity bound to a government-issued document at the front and confirmed again as the program runs. Readiness measured against the exam blueprint. A credential issued on the open W3C standard and signed with a key the institution controls.

Nothing is handed across a seam, because there are no seams left to hand it across. We built it because the credentials we issue have to hold up, and because the same is true of everyone else issuing them.

Our timeline

A history of making training systems better.

Twenty-three years of building, acquiring and consolidating the pieces, and then deciding they should have been one chain all along.
